Why did you stop CO2 compensation?Updated 7 months ago

At the time of introduction, CO2 compensation was an ad hoc solution that allowed us to immediately contribute to climate protection. Our decision to exit now reflects our commitment to effective and sustainable climate protection measures. We believe there are more effective ways to achieve long-term, positive impacts on the climate:

By using sustainable and/or recycled materials, extending the life cycles of our products through repair, and promoting a circular economy, we can have a direct impact on the CO2 footprint of our products.

Therefore, we launched the Concept Blue collection as a flagship project in 2024. The CB products exploit the technological possibilities in terms of sustainability to the fullest without compromising on performance, quality, or price. These Concept Blue developments then flow into the rest of the product range and help us reduce the CO2 footprint of all products.

The longevity and quality of our products have always been the highest priority at Duotone. As a pioneer in the industry, we have been offering an extended warranty for our products since 2007. In addition, we have over 1300 spare parts available in our shop for all Boards & More brands and sports to ensure that our products can be repaired as best as possible when needed and thus remain usable for longer.

In 2024, we also introduced the Duotone Repair Shop program. By providing high-quality repairs, the lifespan of our products is further extended, thereby reducing the CO2 footprint per product.
