Which foil should I start with?Updated a year ago
A foil with a large front wing and stable flight characteristics is best suited for beginners. The ideal foil size for learners is between 2000 and 2500 cm². The length of the fuselage plays a decisive role for an easily controllable flight phase. A longer fuselage of 66 to 74 cm gives the hydrofoil a stable, easy-to-handle ride, which makes it easier for beginners to control the foil. The mast length should be shorter to avoid higher flights and to create a more direct connection between the foil and the board. Suitable mast lengths for beginners are between 70 and 80 cm.
