Bladder Repair - How to locate a hole and repair the bladder?Updated 2 months ago
It can happen that the wing is damaged by various objects such as thorns, stones, etc. and loses air as a result. Each wing consists of a front tube (leading edge) and several cross tubes (struts) with a plastic tube under the Dacron. For repairing small holes we recommend using the repair kit from DUOTONE, which can be found in the inside pocket of your Wing bag.
1. Inflate the bladder and wipe it with a sponge soaked in soapy water or submerge portions of the bladder in a tub of water. Air bubbles indicate holes.
2. Mark the hole and deflate the bladder.
3. Dry the bladder around the hole.
4. For small holes use the self-adhesive repair patches.
5. Put the patch on the damageged area and press it onto the bladder.
